Dr. Pastorini is Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree from the Universidade Federal da Bahia in Brazil, completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and served as Chief Medical Resident. He went on to complete a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Pastorini has been practicing oncology since 2016, providing comprehensive cancer care in both community and academic settings. Before joining Florida Oncology and Hematology, he practiced at Florida Cancer Specialists and served as a medical oncologist and laboratory director at Quincy Medical Group. He has participated extensively in clinical research as both a sub-investigator and principal investigator, contributing to numerous clinical trials in hematology and oncology. His work has also been published in peer-reviewed journals, including studies focused on critical care outcomes and advancements in pancreatic cancer treatment.
In addition to his clinical research experience, Dr. Pastorini has held academic and teaching roles at institutions such as the University of Miami and Duke University, where he participated in evidence-based medicine education and residency training committees. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, Dr. Pastorini enjoys travel, sports, and outdoor activities.
